Ready or Not… It is almost that time again!

Back to school is right around the corner! With COVID in the rearview mirror most schools will look and feel like before with maybe some exceptions. Is your child ready to get back into the groove of school? Learning has been hit or miss for some of the school children out there. Fortunately there are many ways to strengthen the brain’s power to focus and maintain information vital to school success. Here are some fun and effective ways to  kickstart the brain for back to school. At IMagine IMprovement we are all about helping each child reach success. Start by getting them off the couch and make some plans!

Seek out Museums, Art and Music

Go and seek out museums, books, outdoor (or in) live plays or concerts. Exposing our minds to many forms of art and music will enhance the brains ability to make connections between unrelated things and imagine new ways to communicate. It helps us to remain connected to yourself and connected to the world, something that has been severely lacking in the last year and a half. Creating art is fun too!

Search for Outdoor Activities

Move your body in as many ways as possible! Swimming, biking, tennis, volleyball. hiking, paddle boarding, or enjoying the variety of fun a playground has to offer, gets the body moving. Exercise increases the levels of oxygen flowing to the brain. This stimulates chemical changes that stimulate growth of new connections between the cell enhancing memory, focus, learning and thinking.

Seek to Challenge your Brain

Puzzles such as Jigsaw, Sudoku, crosswords and word searches improve problem-solving and attention to detail skills. Consider memorizing Poetry, Bible verses,  quotes, songs or anything else seems fun. Memorization skills cross over into school 100%.

Seek a Proven Brain Training Program

At IMagine IMprovement, we utilize the Interactive Metronome Therapy. Interactive Metronome Therapy is an evidence-based training and assessment tool.
